Adekojo Waheed obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) with Second Class Upper (Honours) in 1990 and Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in 1995 both in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He pursued his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering at the Aachen University of Technology (RWTH) Aachen, Germany, which he completed in 2001. He started his academic career in 1992 as a Graduate Assistant and one of the two pioneer staff of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso. He was appointed a Professor of Thermofluids Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in 2008. Professor Waheed has served in many capacities in the university system as Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering between 2003 to 2006 at LAUTECH and in FUNAAB in 2010. He was the Deputy Dean of College of Engineering at FUNAAB between March and August 2010. Professor Waheed served as the Director of Academic Planning in FUNAAB from September 2010 to December 2013. He was also the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) FUNAAB between 1st January, 2014 and December, 2015. Professor Waheed has attended several international conferences and has published more than one hundred (100) publications including conference proceedings in both reputable national and international journals to his honour. He has also supervised many Master and Doctorate students. His research focus is in Heat and Mass Transfer, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Energy Studies. He has earned himself so many prizes/awards including the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship which he utilised at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, BA2 7AY, United Kingdom; Scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst, DAAD) for his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering at Aachen University of Technology (RWTH), Aachen, Germany; he is an alumnus of the International Institute of Education, Washington D.C., the University Scholar as the best student for three consecutive years and the University Prize as the best Graduating Student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN). He consults for industries whenever called upon to do so. He has served as Head of Research Group, Chairman of many University committees. He is married to Engr. Mrs. Funmilayo Adekojo and the union is blessed with three boys and a girl.
